Research and Teaching

The Department of Neurology has been involved in academic or pharmaceutical industry-sponsored clinical research for a number of years (in the context of the assessment of new treatments), in the following fields: multiple sclerosis, strokes, myasthenia, and dementia.

The department's neurologists teach modules as part of university programmes (masters) or postgraduate programmes [DU and DIU (specialised postgraduate certificates)].

The Department of Neurology hosts medical students (from the Universities of Paris V, VI and VII), as well as residents from the Île de France (Greater Paris) region and from other regions in the context of exchanges between teaching hospitals.
